This is a break from the regularly scheduled program as the Foodies Watching Movies Podcast takes over the airwaves! Nate and Veronica sit down and riff track the 1996 film Twister (Celebrating it's 20th year since it released 05/10/1996)! They discuss how many times should the cast have actually died in the movie, all the continuity errors they could spot, how many times do they call "Billy" the Extreme? and some strange and interesting facts about the film. If you want to watch the film with us just have your copy of Twister paused as 0:00:00 and when Nate gives the cue in the episode follow his lead! Last year on my birthday (4/19) Veronica and I had decided to Riff Track Twister mainly because of how much we love the movie, but to also celebrate 20 years since it released. To see this episode finally exist is amazing. This was definitely a passion project and I'm happy to share it with you all. Speak No Evil is a story about two teenage brothers who are trying to survive on their own in the 1930's. Silas and Edwin have persisted for years by running scams on people, but when one of their scams goes awry, they find themselves on the run. They end up hiding in an abandoned cabin that was used by Nikola Tesla and H.P. Lovecraft for otherworldly experiments ten years prior. Of course the boys aren't going to just sit and hide, and when they explore the cabin, they find something that will change their lives forever. Written by Justin Corbett and George Tripsas
